Wizz AIR Cabin Crew Recruitment Process
Thinking about joining Wizz Air as cabin crew? Here’s exactly what the process looks like — from the moment you find an open day to the moment you receive your offer.
Step 1 — Find a Recruitment Day
Wizz Air recruits almost exclusively through open recruitment days — in-person events held in cities across Europe and beyond. You can find upcoming events on the Wizz Air careers page by clicking “Recruitment Days” at the top. Events are available in nearly 30 locations across 14 countries.
One important thing to know: you can attend any recruitment event regardless of which base you are applying for. So if the nearest open day isn’t in your city, simply travel to the most convenient one.
Step 2 — Prepare Your Documents
Before you show up, make sure you have the following ready:
- An updated CV in English with an ID-sized photo
- A valid passport (with at least 6 months validity)
- Any relevant visa or residency documentation if applicable
Arrive sharply on time and be prepared that the process might take until late afternoon. Punctuality is taken seriously — latecomers may not be allowed to participate.
Step 3 — The Recruitment Day
The day begins with document verification, followed by a presentation by Wizz Air representatives covering the role, salary, and benefits. From there, candidates go through a series of stages, which typically include:
- A brief self-introduction in front of the group
- Group exercises and teamwork challenges
- Role-play scenarios simulating real on-board situations
- An English language assessment
- A one-on-one interview lasting around 30 minutes
Recruiters observe communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving, and how candidates present themselves professionally throughout the day. Stages are eliminatory, meaning candidates are progressively shortlisted as the day goes on.
Feeling unsure about what to expect at each stage? Our ebook Cabin Crew Interview Success was written exactly for this moment. It walks you through the group discussion — including how recruiters evaluate teamwork and communication — and gives you realistic role-play scenarios to practise before you walk through the door.
Step 4 — The Final Interview
If you make it through the group stages, you’ll be invited to a one-on-one interview with a Wizz Air recruiter. This is your opportunity to showcase your personality, motivation, and suitability for the role in a more personal setting.
This is where preparation truly pays off. Cabin Crew Interview Success includes an English language test with 40 sample questions similar to real airline assessments, plus over 200 sample answers to the most common cabin crew interview questions — so you go in confident, not guessing.
Step 5 — Background Checks & Medical
Before an official offer is made, Wizz Air will follow up on your references, carry out a criminal record check, review your financial history, and verify your work background for the last five years — including any gaps. You’ll also be asked to complete a basic medical examination.
Step 6 — Job Offer & Training
Once all checks are cleared, you’ll receive your job offer along with a start date for training. Training typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks, is completely free of charge, and takes place at one of Wizz Air’s main bases. It covers everything you need to know before your first flight — safety, emergency procedures, customer service, and more.
How Long Does It Take?
On average, the entire process from application to hire takes around 8 days — making Wizz Air one of the faster-moving airlines when it comes to cabin crew recruitment. Once you attend your open day, things can move quickly, so be ready.
