Qatar Airways Cabin Crew Assessment Day Guide

Dreaming of becoming a Qatar Airways Cabin Crew?
Congratulations — you’re one step closer!

The Qatar Airways Assessment Day is the first major step in turning your dream into reality. This is your chance to impress the recruitment team and prove you’re ready to join one of the world’s most prestigious airlines.

But remember — this is a highly competitive and challenging process. So, the better prepared you are, the higher your chances of standing out.

Let’s walk you through what you can expect on Assessment Day and how you can give it your best shot.

1. Company Presentation

The day starts with a presentation by Qatar Airways recruiters. They’ll talk about:

  • What it’s like to work for the airline

  • Life in Doha, Qatar (your future home!)

  • What the cabin crew job really involves

👉 Tip: Stay alert and take notes. Recruiters often ask random questions during or after the presentation to see who’s paying attention!

Depending on how many candidates are there, you’ll either move on to the English Test or the Reach Test next.

2. English Test

English is the main language used by Qatar Airways, so this test checks how well you understand and communicate in English.

The test may include:

  • Fill-in-the-blank questions

  • Reading passages and questions

  • Following written instructions

  • Short essay writing (sometimes skipped)

  • A few basic math problems

Example Math Questions:

  • If your flight leaves Doha at 08:00 (UTC+3) and lands in London at 11:00 (UTC+0), how long is the flight?

  • A customer buys a $110 item and pays 500 QAR. If 1 USD = 3.65 QAR, how much change should they receive in dollars?

These questions check your thinking, logic, and ability to handle money — skills you’ll need on board.

3. Reach Test & Mini Speaking Task

You’ll need to reach 212 cm on the wall (barefoot, tiptoes allowed). This test ensures you can reach the overhead compartments on the plane.

Right after, you might be asked to speak about a random word for a few seconds. Words can be simple like: Travel, Dream, Shopping, Skydiving, or House.

Recruiters might also throw in fun or unusual questions like:

  • If you had a superpower, what would it be?

  • What makes a good leader?

This part is all about confidence, personality, and communication. Just be yourself and speak clearly.

⚠️ Another round of cuts might happen after this.

4. Group Discussion

You’ll join a small group (around 6–8 people) and solve a problem together.

Example Scenario:
There are only two seats left on a flight. Eight passengers want to board, including an elderly couple, a honeymoon couple, a business traveler, and a mother with a child. Decide as a group who should get the seats — and why.

This round is all about teamwork, empathy, and decision-making. Don’t dominate the group, but don’t stay silent either. Stay respectful and keep things professional.

📌 Note: In some locations, this step might be skipped.

5. Final Interview

If you’ve made it this far — amazing! You’re now one-on-one with a recruiter.

They’ll ask more personal and detailed questions like:

  • Tell me about yourself.

  • Why do you want to be a Qatar Airways cabin crew member?

  • Why are you willing to move to Doha?

  • Describe a time you dealt with a difficult customer.

  • What are your strengths?

  • What makes a great flight attendant?

This is your moment to shine. Show your passion, professionalism, and dedication to great service.

Final Tips

  • Smile, be polite, and stay positive throughout the day.

  • Dress smartly and keep your grooming professional.

  • Don’t be discouraged by cuts — learn and try again if needed.

  • Be ready for surprises — the recruitment format may vary slightly.
