Step 2: Open Day (CV Drop-Off)
Emirates hosts Open Days around the world — no pre-registration is required.
Bring your CV and be ready to make a great first impression. After a quick chat, recruiters will decide if you’re invited to the next step: Assessment Day.
Recruiters might ask:
“How are you today?”
“What do you currently do?”
“Why do you want to be cabin crew?”
“Why Emirates?”
Keep your answers short, positive, and confident. Smile and make eye contact — this only takes about 1–2 minutes, but it’s crucial.
After everyone has submitted their CVs, there will be a short company presentation, followed by a break. Recruiters will then post the names of those selected for the Assessment Day, usually held on the same or next day.
Step 3: Assessment Day
This is a long and challenging day with several rounds — and eliminations. You need to stay focused, confident, and well-rested.
What to Expect:
Group Exercise – Part 1:
You’ll be in a small group.
Each team gets a random everyday item (e.g., toothbrush, alarm clock).
You must find creative/unusual uses for the item.
Discuss for 5 minutes, then present your ideas.
Group Exercise – Part 2:
Now, a job title is added to your item.
You must explain how the item could be used in that role (e.g., How would a “hotel receptionist” use an alarm clock differently?).
Present again.
🛑 Elimination #1: After this, some candidates will be let go.
Reach Test:
You must reach 212 cm (tiptoes allowed).
Women: barefoot
Men: in shoes
🛑 If you can’t reach this, you can’t proceed.
Group Discussion – Part 3:
This is a problem-solving task focused on customer service.
Example:
“There are only 10 rental cars left, but 20 customers have bookings. How do you solve it?”
You’ll work as a team. A recruiter may play the role of an unhappy customer to test your response under pressure.
🛑 Elimination #2 happens after this.
Step 4: Final Interview – Online
If you pass all previous stages, Emirates will invite you to complete the final stages online:
✅ English Test (Online)
Around 30 multiple-choice questions
Covers grammar, vocabulary, and basic reading
Time: 20 minutes
Level: Simple to moderate — don’t stress!
✅ Personality Test (Online)

✅ Final Interview (Online)
Scheduled within a few days or weeks. This is your final step!
Common Questions:
“Describe a stressful situation and how you handled it.”
“Have you dealt with a difficult customer?”
“What’s a mistake you’ve made and what did you learn?”
“What do you know about Dubai?”
“Why do you want to work for Emirates?”
Be honest, positive, and show your passion for customer service and aviation.
The interview lasts about 20–40 minutes.
You’ll usually hear back within 3–4 weeks.
